Maris is a believer in the strength and resilience of every person. She uses a client centered and trauma informed approach to therapy. She strives to create an environment that is safe, empowering, and has room for every part of you.
Maris earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Franciscan University of Steubenville and Master of Social Work from UNC Charlotte. Maris has practiced social work for 5 years and clinical social work for 1 year.
Maris specializes in working with adults and older adolescents who are ready to make a change in their lives. She specializes in life transitions, burnout and work-life balance, interpersonal relationships, depression, anxiety, building self-esteem and self-determination, and trauma recovery.
Maris utilizes internal family systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solutions focused modalities to assist clients in self-discovery, building skills, and trauma processing and reintegration.
