LCMHCA

I am passionate about empowering others to live life with intentionality and genuinely love themselves in the process. I find meaning in my professional work when I can help equip families with the tools that they need to experience wholeness and unity as they navigate joys and hardship, together.

I completed my Master’s of Arts program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. Prior to that I attended Appalachian State University where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and also completed a graduate certification program at Queen’s University in Special Education.

I use my experiences from my previous work as an educator to provide each person with an individualized and unique approach that meets them where they are and also highlights their strengths. My background also allows for me to deeply empathize with the challenge and complexities that school, transitions, learning disabilities, and friendships can bring. While I deeply enjoy connecting with all people, my area of speciality includes working with young children through young adults. My areas of interest include ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, trauma, loss, behavioral and adjustment challenges. In addition to my work with individuals, I also enjoy working with engaged and married couples and have obtained certification in level one training of the Gottman Method.

My clinical approach is person-centered and I draw from various modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child Centered Play Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Attachment Theory to meet each of my clients in their most present need. I am also a Christian and able to provide as much or as little of this perspective into sessions as desired. I believe that we are all capable of growth, love, and joy in our lives and that our process to accessing these things looks different.

I believe that growth and change are truly possible for you. It takes courage to dream about and step forward in making a change to desire something better, whether for yourself or your family.

Healing happens through trust, honesty, and support and I consider it a great privilege to meet you in this part of your story and empower you to take action to pursue your next right thing.
